George William Grant Shaw – (b.1990) – is a New Zealander/Kiwi self taught multi-instrumentalist musician, who specialises in guitar based music encompassing elements of: traditional outlaw country, bluegrass, blues, neoclassical, baroque, thrash metal, NWOBHM, death metal, TDM, groove metal, funk, hard rock, southern rock, indie, stoner and classic rock.

Currently based in Lisboa, Portugal, (previously based in Wanaka NZ and Brighton UK) he has worked as a touring musician and session guitarist (and) bassist since 2015, has toured Europe, the US, Canada and the U.K. multiple times with award winning artists and bands - Loyal UK, Unleash the Archers CAN among others.

With an original background in traditional Scottish Highland Piping and pipe band competition (culminating in achieving 3rd place at the 2007 world championships) George applies this unique influence to his approach to guitar compositions.

With a primary focus in riffs & melody applied with clean and precise technique, George combines elements of various genres and techniques with the intent to encapsulate a diverse range of attitudes and feelings otherwise relegated to singular or particular styles.
